Brothers Duijvestijn: Four brothers who go for innovation and quality

Four brothers who go for innovation and quality in the AGF, where have we seen that more often? Right, there are many similarities between the family business Duijvestijn Tomaten and Van Gelder fruit and vegetables.

In 1988, the brothers Ted, Peter, Ronald and later Remco Duijvestijn took over the greenhouse horticulture company from their father Leo. In the Westland Honselersdijk they started to build the foundation that their father had laid since 1953. Today, the brothers grow almost 15 hectares of tomatoes in Pijnacker. The four brothers are committed to innovation and quality, to offer the tastiest tomatoes.

"Every year we package and process about 10 million kilos of fresh tomatoes," says Peter Duijvestijn proudly. "The tomatoes are hand-picked and subjected to a strict selection." The tomato grower from Pijnacker focuses on the sustainable cultivation of quality tomatoes and is innovative and enterprising. They are working on various sustainable initiatives and are working together with the University of Wageningen and the TU in Delft, among others.
