Dutch strawberries: Nature's chocolate
North Brabant is the birthplace of Dutch strawberry. No wonder, then, that our strawberry grower is located in Made, Brabant province. Beekers Berries grows Dutch strawberries here on Brabant's sandy soils. On this sandy soil strawberries grow extra well, which is why since the Middle Ages the tastiest Dutch strawberries from North Brabant have been coming.
"In our cultivation concept, respect for nature is central," says Wil Beekers. "The bees of the local beekeeper are welcome guests, as well as the bumblebees. They ensure pollination and fertilization, allowing all this delicious soft fruit to develop into delicious fruits. Unfortunately, not all insects are friends of our fruits. In order to ensure that these insects do not cause any damage, these pests are largely biologically combated by using natural enemies."
Beekers Berries grow both Elsanta strawberries and Sonata strawberries and in season the delicious Lambada strawberry is also available. For example, we have fresh strawberries from Dutch soil year round.
