At the age of 24 Miriam van der Loo and her husband Adrie started the restaurant De Zoete Inval in Eersel, Brabant. As a cook Miriam has worked in kitchens of star restaurants, where her passion for working with natural products and fresh ingredients also comes from.

She's also a real vegetable freak. The restaurant is still running, but under the direction of another chef. Miriam and her husband continued in the fresh dressings they made and used in the restaurant.

"The dressings are still made in the same way, only in larger boilers" Miriam laughs. "The first dressings we made were the kempic herbal dressing, the Brabant herb dressing and the honey herb dressing. These dressings are still among the runners in our range," she says enthusiastically.

"The dressings in the restaurant were so popular that we went to give plastic bowls of dressing to the guests for the home. That's how we started for consumers. From there, Taste Secrets originated and we sold the restaurant to market this product," Miriam says of the beginning of the adventure. In the meantime, they have been making the best dressings, toppings and vinaigrettes for over 11 years.
