"The Zeeland Zonnekers is nothing short of the best,"says Johan Elenbaas enthusiastically. At the Walcherse Arnemuiden, located on the separation of Walcheren with Zuid-Beveland, our Zeeland cherry grower is located: Zeeland Zonnekers, the company of the Elenbaas family.

With passion and love for the tasty, healthy and versatile fruit, this cherry is grown on mineral-rich Zeeland clay. "Because of the rich soil, the cherries are of top quality and delicious sweet in taste", explains Johan. De Zeeland Zonnekers literally reaps the benefits of this. "Day and night we do everything we can to harvest the best cherries in the Netherlands."

Like Van Gelder, the Zeeland Zonnekers is a real family business. Together with the accompanying farm shop Landwinkel Elenbaas, the company belongs to fruit family Elenbaas. Jaco and his brother Marcel and son Johan work in the orchard, and Dianne (wife of Jaco) and Anneliene (wife of Johan) are in the Landwinkel, finally Anja (wife of Marcel) also helps within the company in different ways.
