Smaakgeheimen
At the age of 24, Miriam van der Loo, together with her husband Adrie, started the restaurant De Zoete Inval in Eersel, Brabant. As a chef, Miriam has worked in the kitchens of Michelin-starred restaurants, where her passion for working with natural products and fresh ingredients originated.
She is also a true vegetable enthusiast. The restaurant is still in operation, but under the leadership of a different chef. Miriam and her husband have moved forward with the fresh dressings they used to make and serve in the restaurant.
"The dressings are still made the same way, only now in larger vats," Miriam laughs. "The first dressings we made were the Kempish herb dressing, the Brabant herb dressing, and the honey herb dressing. These dressings are still among the best-sellers in our range," she shares enthusiastically.
"The dressings were so beloved at the restaurant that we started giving plastic containers of dressing to guests to take home. That's how we began with consumers. From there, Smaakgeheimen was born, and we sold the restaurant to bring this product to the market," Miriam explains about the start of the journey. In the meantime, they've been making the best dressings, toppings, and vinaigrettes for over 11 years.
