Our assortment mainly consists of freshly harvested potatoes, vegetables, and fruit. From all the well-known varieties to sea vegetables, the most exotic fruits, edible flowers, mini vegetables, and cresses. Nothing is too crazy for us. Together with our growers, we are constantly searching for new products, varieties, and specialties.
Sliced vegetables, salads and coleslaw
At Van Gelder, vegetable processing is an important core activity. Because you can turn to us for much more than just unprocessed potatoes, vegetables, and fruit. We offer our vegetables pre-sliced in various cuts and sizes. Fresh vegetables are brought to our main location in Ridderkerk as quickly as possible from the grower to be processed here. This quick processing, combined with the latest packaging techniques, ensures that the vegetables retain their vitamins and sometimes have a longer shelf life compared to the unprocessed product. Additionally, in our high-care kitchen, we prepare fresh vegetable, raw food, fruit, meal, and pasta salads daily, all with an extended shelf life.

Convenience food has long been an integral part of the professional kitchen. The building is ideally located at a prominent site along the A15, A16, and A29 highways, on the historic grounds where Van Gelder first began for the family. The building has been constructed using sustainable and eco-friendly recyclable materials. As a result, Van Gelder now operates from the most sustainable building in the Netherlands, where vegetables and fruit are traded. The location is particularly suitable for anyone wishing to explore or be inspired by themes such as sustainability, innovation, and health. The building is easily accessible by bike, public transport, and offers free parking at the main entrance.
