Van Gelder processes personal data when you visit our website, use our services, place an order, use the chat function, subscribe to a newsletter and/or send us an email/message/inquiry.

Van Gelder may process the following personal data:

Retention period


Your data is stored on servers of parties (Amazon AWS, CloudSuite, CM, DeployTeq, and Microsoft) we engage for website management, e-commerce, and marketing automation. These servers are located within the EEA. Van Gelder does not retain your data longer than necessary for the aforementioned purposes.

Location and security of data processing


Van Gelder has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, or unlawful processing of personal data. We have agreements in place with parties and individuals who have access to personal data.

Security measures include:

  1. Confidentiality agreements with staff and third parties;
  2. Encryption of database traffic;
  3. Data protection policies, including a data breach protocol;
  4. Access controls on premises, computers, and networks;
  5. Firewalls, antivirus protection, and backups.

Third parties


In principle, personal data will not be shared with third parties. If it is, this will only happen if necessary to execute the agreement, comply with legal obligations, or serve Van Gelder’s legitimate interest. Your data will be processed within the EU/EEA where possible. If processed outside the EEA, Van Gelder ensures adequate protection in line with legal requirements.

Analytical cookies are used based on Van Gelder’s legitimate interests.
